Conferences and Workshops:
-
The Third NASA/DoD Workshop on Evolvable Hardware
July 12-14, 2001, Long Beach, California.
A unique group of people doing utterly cool research.
-
NIPS*99 Workshop on Neural Mechanisms of Music Processing
Organized by yours truly. Co-organized by Shihab Shamma of UMD College Park
and Malcolm Slaney of Interval Research, Palo Alto.
-
Telluride Workshop 1999
We may not all understand or agree exactly what is ``neuromorphic engineering,''
and we will endure the constant debate about whether our objectives are biological
modeling or engineering, but that doesn't prevent us from having a great get-together
in Colorado every year.
- 2nd European
Workshop on Neuromorphic Systems, Stirling, Scotland, 1999.
The short workshop/conference for basically the same group of people who
attend Telluride. Perhaps it owes its existence to the fact that most of
us don't have three weeks to spare every summer. Three days, however, we
can swing. Also a major factor is the European contingent who dislike the
expensive plane tickets across the Big Pond.
